Under the ASTM Steel standard, Cold Work Tool Steel primarily encompasses the “W” series (Water Hardening), “O” series (Oil Hardening), “A” series (Medium Alloy Air Hardening), and “D” series (High Carbon, High Chromium) Tool Steels. Examples of steel grades include: W1, W2, W5; O1 (DIN 1.2510), O2 (DIN 1.2842), O6, O7; A2 through A11; and AISI D2 (DIN 1.2379), AISI D3 (DIN 1.2080), D4, D5, D7, among others.

1.2379 Steel  (D2)

Wr. 1.2379 steel is a high carbon, high chromium tool steel (12% chrome) with extremely high wear-resisting properties, heat treatable to 60-62 Rc.

1.2080-steel-flat-bar

1.2080 Steel (D3)

2080 steel has very high wear resistance against abrasive and adhesive wear due to the high volume of hard carbides in the steel matrix, medium toughness, dimensionally stable, high compressive strength, not secondary hardenable.

Cr12MoV Steel

Cr12MoV is a Chinese steel grade, whereas AISI D2 is an American steel grade. Cr12MoV and AISI D2 are similar in that they are both high-carbon, high-chromium steel alloys with good wear resistance and toughness.

DC53--STEEL-PLATE

DC53 Steel

DC53 steel is a new cold work die and mold steel that offers strength and durability comparable to high-speed steels.

1.2767 Steel

1.2767 steel is a cold work tool steel with excellent hardenability and machinability and it can also be air-cooled and hardened.

1.2436 steel-Otai

1.2436 Steel

DIN 1.2436 is  high toughness chromium steel and cold work mould steel. Has extremely high wear resistance and edge retention capabilities.
